Sarah M. Ford (AZ)
Sarah Ford served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2001 until 2005 as a logistics officer. She completed two tours in Iraq, serving with CSSB-10 in 2003 and with CSSG-11 in 2004. In 2007, she deployed to Afghanistan and served with the Army's 82nd Airborne as a Marine augment.
Ford graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1999, received her M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School in 2007, and then served as a consultant at the Boston Consulting Group. In January 2012, she left as VP of Sales for Local Motors to open Ranch Road Boots, a handmade-in-the-USA cowboy boot company.
Ford received the Kriendler Award for Leadership Excellence from Officer Candidate School and the Marine Corps Military Skills Award from the Basic School, the first female in the Marine Corps to receive either award. Ford is also the only woman to receive the Timothy T. Day Marine Corps Entrepreneur Fellowship, an MBA fellowship for distinguished individuals at the Harvard Business School. She was the first recipient of that fellowship when it was established in 2005.
Ford resides in Phoenix, AZ.
