The 30th annual West Coast Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation Celebratory Gala was held on Saturday October 27th, 2012, at the Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California, immediately north of Camp Pendleton - home to I Marine Expeditionary Force and to 1st Marine Division. The West Coast Gala celebrates the Scholarship Foundation's year-long campaign that enables it to award educational scholarships to the sons and daughters of active duty and veteran Marines. Each year supporters from the greater Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, San Diego areas and beyond gather to honor and to reaffirm this support and to meet directly with leaders from USMC West Coast commands and from Headquarters Marine Corps. The West Coast Gala is considered to be the premier event of its kind in the western United States.
