Giving from a Retirement Account
Making a gift to the Scholarship Foundation using your retirement assets (IRA, 401(K), 403(b), pension or other tax deferred plan) is another easily accessible way to make a gift and help further our mission of educating Marine and Navy Corpsmen sons and daughters. As a charity, we are not taxed upon receiving an IRA or other retirement plan assets.
Transferring full or partial amounts of your retirement assets to the Scholarship Foundation is easily facilitated by designating the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation as a beneficiary, we will benefit from the full value of your gift because these assets will not be taxed at the time of your death.
