MCSF Announces 2021 Houston Award Recipients
Fox and Glover to be recognized at 11th Annual Houston Awards Dinner October 27
HOUSTON, TX – (July 30, 2021) – The Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation is pleased to announce its Houston Award Recipients for 2021. Ann Fox will be presented with the Semper Fidelis Award, and Josh Glover will be presented with the Commandant’s Award. Ms. Fox and Mr. Glover will receive their respective awards during the 11th Annual Houston Awards Dinner on October 27 at the Houston Marriott Marquis.
The Scholarship Foundation’s Semper Fidelis Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated a recurring commitment to an effort which contributes to the betterment of our society. Ms. Fox is both the first woman in Texas and the first female veteran Marine to receive the Semper Fidelis Award. Ms. Fox has served as the President, Chief Executive Officer, and Director of Nine Energy Service, Inc. since July 2015. From February 2013 to July 2015, Ms. Fox served Nine as Chief Financial Officer and Vice President, Strategic Development. From December 2008 to February 2013, Ms. Fox served in various positions with SCF Partners, a private equity firm specializing in investments in the energy services industry. Prior to joining SCF, Ms. Fox served in the United States Marine Corps, during which she worked with a small team embedded in the south of Iraq in order to ensure Iraqi Security Force combat operations were consistent with the application of U.S. counterinsurgency tactics.
The Scholarship Foundation’s rarely bequeathed Commandant’s Award recognizes recipients who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and sacrifice on behalf of the U.S. Marine Corps and America. They embody the true spirit and persona of a Marine. Mr. Glover currently serves as Chief Revenue Officer for nCino, Inc., the worldwide leader in cloud banking. Before joining nCino, Mr. Glover served for ten years as a Marine Corps Special Operations and Infantry Officer. He led Marines during four combat deployments, including three deployments to Iraq with 1st Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment and one deployment to Afghanistan as a special operations team commander with Marine Forces Special Operations Command’s 2d Marine Raider Battalion. During a tour at Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. (“8th & I”), Mr. Glover commanded the Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon. Mr. Glover’s personal awards and decorations include the Silver Star Medal, the Bronze Star Medal for valor, three Purple Heart Medals, the Meritorious Service Medal, and the Major General Edwin B. Wheeler Infantry Excellence Award.
Funds raised at the Houston Awards Dinner help support 226 scholarship recipients in Texas who attend 61 different in-state colleges, universities and career technical education programs. Annelyse & Mark Frugoni and Cara & Knox Nunnally are serving as Co-Chairs for this year’s Dinner.
