Susan, alongside her husband Bob, was a steadfast supporter of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. Her time, talent, and treasure as a member of the Board of Directors changed the trajectory of the organization and the lives of hundreds of Marine Scholars. The Susan Morrison Fidelis Fund Endowment was established by Susan’s friends and fellow MCSF Directors to honor her legacy and stands to become the organization’s most powerful source of funding. Unique to many endowment funds, earnings are unrestricted and deployed annually to the area of greatest need.
Each year a portion of the Susan Morrison Fidelis Fund Endowment is paid out as an annual distribution to support scholarships and the organization’s budget, while any appreciation above this annual distribution is retained in the endowment so it can grow and support future generations. As a result, this endowment provides the financial foundation for generations of Marine Scholars to come, and importantly, allows us to pay tribute to Susan and perpetuate her legacy of philanthropy.
